Parking Instructions

Traffic & Parking Overview

Parking at the Cathedral and Te Pā Mihinare will be reserved for dignitaries, iwi leaders and international visitors & bishops

Street Parking is available nearby, however closest public parks are located at 28 Cathedral Square, Crossing Carpark 71 Lichfield St, Cashel St and Madras St. And outside Te Pā Mihinare (290 Ferry Road)

A bus will transport people to the Cathedral at 8am and 8.30 and return to Ferry Road at 12:45 and 1:15. These are the only times for the buses.

Please also note there will be road closures and restrictions beginning at 2pm around the Stadium opposite the Cathedral – bear this in mind when parking on roads near the Cathedral.

Māori Wardens will assist with parking and drop off zones at both venues, but not

on-street parking. Please follow signs and directions.

PLEASE CONSIDER:

Carpool where possible or drop-off/Pick-up options before parking.

Follow all guidance for designated drop-off and pick-up zones, especially for kaumātua (clearly signposted at both venues).

Remain mindful of pedestrians and traffic at all times.

Allow extra time & proceed with care moving between locations.

Robing Instructions for Episcopal Ordination of The Ven. Susan Wallace

Following the mihi whakatau and prior to the service clergy will be asked to robe. All clergy and participating ministers are asked to robe as follows:

Anglican Clergy

Alb or Choir Dress with Red Stole –

Clergy from Other Denominations

Please robe to what is your tradition –

The Savoy East Conference Room at Rydges Latimer Square is available for you to robe.

This will be open from 8.00am should you wish to drop your robes off earlier.Once robed, clergy will gather across the road in Latimer Square ready for processing.
